WIX SEO · UNITED KINGDOM
Wix has come a long way — but most UK Wix sites still have the same fixable problems: thin page content, local SEO left incomplete, and structured data that was never configured. We fix what is holding your site back without moving you off the platform.
The platform is not what is holding you back. The content gaps, local SEO gaps, and technical issues are — and every one of them is fixable without leaving Wix.

Wix builds pages with JavaScript. On pages with dynamic content or complex templates, Google does not always index content correctly. UK service businesses lose local rankings to competitor sites that get crawled cleanly.
Wix SEO Wiz covers basic technical setup — a title tag, a sitemap, Google Search Console connected. UK businesses that follow the checklist and stop there are missing keyword strategy, content depth, and local optimisation.
Wix does not allow URL restructuring without breaking internal links. Early setup errors — generic slugs, no geographic signal in URLs — accumulate over time. The right structure has to be set from the start.
For UK cleaners, plumbers, tutors, and tradespeople, the Google local pack is where customers find you. GBP not verified, LocalBusiness schema not added, no town or borough-level keyword targeting — these are common, fixable gaps that cost enquiries every day.
UK users browse predominantly on mobile. Wix templates with large images, animated sections, and video backgrounds still fail Core Web Vitals on mobile. A slow site loses rankings to faster local competitors.
A 90-word service page will not rank for "electrician Hackney" or "private tutor Manchester." Wix templates encourage short blurb text — not the content depth that earns rankings in competitive UK local markets.
/ What we engineer
Each workstream is built by the team that audits it, and wired into the rest of your growth system.
Full crawl: JavaScript rendering, indexation, canonicals, redirect chains, sitemap, and Core Web Vitals. Every technical issue identified before content work begins.
Every priority page targeted to specific UK town, city, and service search terms — "boiler repair Croydon" not "professional heating services."
LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, and Product schema via Wix's structured data tool and custom JSON-LD. Rich results increase click-through rates in UK search results.
GBP audit or setup, NAP consistency across UK directories (Yell, Thomson Local, Yelp UK, Checkatrade), borough and town-level keyword targeting.
Thin UK service pages rewritten with the depth needed to compete in local searches. Competitor content benchmarked. British English throughout.
A content calendar targeting UK informational queries that build topical authority and drive traffic to service pages.

Ask us directlyWix is not a barrier to ranking in the UK. UK Wix sites rank on page one across trades, tutoring, beauty, health, and professional services. The sites that underperform have thin content, incomplete local SEO, and unconfigured schema — not a platform problem.
Yes, substantially. Wix now supports structured data, has improved Core Web Vitals performance, provides canonical tag control, and offers a native sitemap. What most UK Wix sites are still missing is keyword strategy, content depth, and local SEO implementation — not platform features.
Usually not. Most UK Wix sites that underperform need content and configuration work, not a platform rebuild. Migrations carry real risk — broken URLs, lost rankings, development cost. We audit first and only recommend migration when there is a specific, evidence-based reason.
Yes. Google Maps rankings depend on GBP optimisation, NAP consistency, review signals, and LocalBusiness schema — not on which platform your website runs on. For UK local service businesses, we include full local SEO in every Wix SEO engagement.
Wix SEO Wiz is Wix's built-in setup guide. It covers basic technical foundations — title tags, Search Console connection, sitemap submission. It does not cover keyword research, content depth, local SEO for UK towns and cities, or schema markup. UK businesses that stop at the Wiz rarely rank for competitive terms.
Yes. Wix's structured data tool supports LocalBusiness and other schema types. Custom JSON-LD is injected via Wix's custom code panel for FAQ, Service, and BreadcrumbList schema. We implement both as standard on all priority pages.
Wix SEO pricing for UK businesses is quoted in GBP and provided as a fixed-scope proposal after the initial search diagnostic. Cost depends on site size, keyword competitiveness, and whether local SEO is included.
Technical and on-page changes typically show movement in Google Search Console within 4–8 weeks. Competitive UK local rankings usually take 3–6 months. Google Maps rankings for local service businesses often move faster — within 6–10 weeks of GBP optimisation.
