E-commerce Growth Engineering · United Kingdom

The e-commerce growth agency UK Shopify and WooCommerce stores use when SEO, Shopping, and retention need to work as one connected system.

Most UK stores run SEO separately from paid, and email as an afterthought. Each channel reports its own numbers. Nobody is accountable for total revenue. We engineer the full stack — SEO, paid, product feed, checkout, and retention — for both Shopify and WooCommerce, so each channel amplifies the others and growth compounds.

Shopify · WooCommerce · UK · AU · US stores · Traffic · Conversion · Retention
This is for you if

You're getting traffic. It's not turning into revenue.

The store converting under 2% — Traffic is real, from SEO, paid, or social. But fewer than 2 in 100 visitors buy. Your product pages are missing the signals UK buyers look for before committing: delivery estimate, return policy, customer reviews, trusted payment options. Each percentage point of CVR improvement is revenue with zero additional ad spend.

The store where CAC keeps climbing — You're spending on Google Shopping and Meta. The cost to acquire a customer is up 20% year on year. Margins are under pressure. You don't have clear visibility into which campaigns are profitable after product costs and fulfilment. More spend isn't the fix — better structure, better feeds, and better retention are.

The store with one-time buyers and no retention system — Your post-purchase experience ends at the order confirmation email. No Klaviyo flows. No browse abandonment. No win-back. Repeat buyers in the UK cost a fraction of new ones to re-engage. The entire email and SMS retention layer is revenue you're not capturing.

The WooCommerce store that every agency treats as a second-class platform — You're on WooCommerce — either because you built on WordPress originally or because you need the flexibility. Every agency you've spoken to has a Shopify playbook they half-adapt for WooCommerce. We give WooCommerce equal depth to Shopify: platform-native CRO, SEO configuration, and Klaviyo integration.

What's broken

Here's what's costing you sales

Your product pages lose buyers before checkout

UK online shoppers abandon product pages without: delivery timeline (especially next-day or named-day options), clear returns policy, customer reviews, and payment options (Klarna, PayPal, credit card). These aren't design preferences. They're conversion requirements. Each missing element is a measurable reason to leave.

You have no systematic retention layer

A healthy UK e-commerce store drives 30–40% of revenue from repeat buyers. Without Klaviyo flows — welcome, cart abandon, post-purchase, browse abandon, win-back — you're acquiring customers at increasing cost and then letting them go. The full Klaviyo layer typically adds 25–35% to total store revenue once all flows are live.

Your Google Shopping feed has significant gaps

Wrong product categories. Missing GTINs. Titles that don't match how UK buyers search. Disapproved items from GDPR-related data issues. These feed errors mean Google shows your products to the wrong audiences — or suppresses them entirely. A rebuilt feed typically doubles Shopping impression share within 6–8 weeks.

Your SEO and paid run as separate strategies

SEO optimises for different keywords than Shopping. Email doesn't reinforce paid messaging. Landing pages built for ads aren't informed by organic data. The result is fragmented performance — each channel working against its own metric, none of them accountable for total revenue. One connected strategy with shared attribution fixes this.

What we engineer

Full-stack e-commerce growth for UK Shopify and WooCommerce stores

E-commerce SEO

Category page optimisation with keyword intent mapping. Product page schema markup so Google shows ratings, price, and stock in search results. Technical SEO for large catalogues: canonical tags, pagination, crawl budget. Content for handicraft, pashmina, and tea export keywords — a cluster with virtually no competition.

Google Shopping & PMax

Product feed rebuild: correct categorisation, complete attributes, consistent titles and descriptions. Campaign structure that separates high-margin SKUs from clearance. Shopping SEO — optimising product titles for Google's organic Shopping results. Performance Max management with audience signals and creative testing.

Shopify / WooCommerce CRO

Product page audit identifying every point where buyers hesitate and leave. Checkout flow optimisation: fewer steps, clearer progress, fewer abandonment triggers. Mobile optimisation — most Nepali shoppers are on mobile. A/B test framework so improvements are data-driven, not guesswork.

Meta Ads for e-commerce

Prospecting campaigns targeting buyers in Nepal and export markets. Dynamic product ads that show the exact product a visitor viewed. Retargeting sequences for abandoned carts and product views. Creative strategy: static, carousel, and video formats tested against each other.

Email retention

Welcome series that converts subscribers into first-time buyers. Abandoned cart sequences — typically 15–20% recovery rate. Post-purchase flows that drive the second sale. Win-back campaigns for customers who haven't bought in 90+ days. Browse abandonment for high-intent visitors.

Daraz & local payments

Daraz store setup and optimisation: listings, keyword-rich titles for Daraz search, category selection, seller rating management, Sponsored Products. Plus eSewa and Fonepay integration into Shopify and WooCommerce stores so Nepali mobile buyers complete checkout.

How it works

Six steps from audit to compounding growth.

  1. 01

    E-commerce growth audit

    Days 1–5

We audit your traffic sources, conversion rate by device and page, retention metrics, product feed quality, and paid channel performance. For stores on Daraz, we audit your seller metrics and listing quality in parallel. The output is a ranked list of revenue gaps — what's costing you the most and in what order to fix it.

  2. 02

    Quick wins

    Weeks 2–3

Fix the highest-impact items first: product feed errors that are suppressing Shopping impressions, checkout friction points, missing payment methods, and email flows that aren't live. Most stores see measurable improvement in conversion rate within the first 3 weeks.

  3. 03

    SEO layer

    Month 1–3

Category page content written to rank for Nepali and export market search terms. Product schema markup. Technical SEO fixes: canonical tags, page speed, crawl budget. Link building from relevant directories and industry publishers. Daraz listing optimisation in parallel.

  4. 04

    Paid acquisition

    Month 1–2

Google Shopping campaign restructure or build. Meta prospecting and retargeting campaigns live. Creative testing begins. Performance tracked weekly against CAC and ROAS targets.

  5. 05

    Retention system

    Month 1–2

Klaviyo or equivalent email platform configured. All 6 core flows built: welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, browse abandonment, win-back, and VIP. Revenue per flow tracked from day one.

  6. 06

    Scale and compound

    Month 3+

CRO testing programme: A/B tests on product pages, checkout, and landing pages. Creative refresh on paid campaigns. New channel expansion: additional markets, new ad formats, new SEO content clusters. Monthly reporting against revenue, CVR, CAC, and retention targets.

Common questions

Common questions about e-commerce growth in the UK

Do you work with WooCommerce stores as well as Shopify?

Yes — and we give WooCommerce the same depth as Shopify. Most agencies have a Shopify playbook and adapt it (poorly) for WooCommerce. We have native expertise on both platforms: WooCommerce-specific CRO (checkout plugins, page builder patterns, mobile UX), WooCommerce SEO configuration (Yoast, Rank Math, schema, canonical tags), and Klaviyo integration on WooCommerce, which requires different setup to Shopify. If you're on WooCommerce and have been told you need to migrate to Shopify before we can help — that's the wrong answer. We start from where you are.

How does GDPR affect Google Shopping and Meta Ads for UK stores?

GDPR requires that you collect user data with explicit consent before passing it to Google or Meta. For Shopping, this means configuring Google's Consent Mode so that conversion events only fire for users who have consented — and configuring the Conversions API to send hashed first-party data server-side for consented users. For Meta, the same principle applies via the Conversions API. Running without these configurations typically means underreporting conversions by 30–40%, which distorts your ROAS data and causes Google and Meta to make poor bidding decisions. We configure GDPR-compliant data collection in week 1 before any campaign changes are made.

What's WooCommerce CRO and how is it different from Shopify CRO?

WooCommerce gives you more flexibility in checkout design but also more ways to introduce friction. Common WooCommerce CRO problems: slow checkout page load (due to plugin conflicts), checkout field configuration that asks for unnecessary information, payment gateway display order (placing card before PayPal when your buyers prefer PayPal), and cart-to-checkout drop-off caused by WooCommerce's default multi-step layout. We audit these issues specifically on WooCommerce — not through a Shopify lens.

Do you integrate Klaviyo with WooCommerce?

Yes. Klaviyo integrates with WooCommerce via a native plugin, but the setup requires correct event configuration to ensure browse abandonment, cart abandonment, and purchase events all fire correctly. The default Klaviyo WooCommerce plugin setup misses several events without custom configuration. We handle the full integration — including testing every trigger event — and build all 6 core flows on top of it.

What platforms do you work with for UK e-commerce?

Shopify and WooCommerce, with equal depth on both. Shopify is the right choice for most new UK e-commerce builds because of its speed, reliability, and payments ecosystem (including Klarna and PayPal). WooCommerce makes sense if you're already on WordPress with significant content or SEO infrastructure. Moving platforms has a real cost — we evaluate that honestly before recommending a migration.

What's a good conversion rate for a UK e-commerce store?

The UK e-commerce average is around 1.5–2%. A well-optimised store with clear delivery information (UK buyers are highly sensitive to delivery time and cost), strong customer reviews, a prominent returns policy, and Klarna or PayPal at checkout should be converting at 2.5–4%. Conversion rate is the first metric we benchmark in the audit — and the biggest lever for improving the return on every channel.

How do you measure e-commerce growth?

Revenue by channel, conversion rate by device and page type, CAC by channel, repeat purchase rate, email revenue as a percentage of total, and Shopping impression share. All tracked in GA4 with a GDPR-compliant setup and a custom e-commerce reporting view. Monthly reports cover what changed, what drove the change, and what the next 30 days prioritise.

How long before results?

Quick wins — feed fixes, checkout optimisation, Klaviyo flows — show within 3–6 weeks. Paid acquisition improvements show in 4–8 weeks. SEO compounds over 3–6 months. We're explicit about which workstream produces revenue on which timeline, and we prioritise the fastest-impact work in the first month.
