REAL ESTATE WEBSITE DESIGN

A property website that generates direct enquiries, not just referrals from the portals

Zillow, Realtor.com, and Redfin own the listing search traffic. You are not going to outrank them on volume. What your website can do is capture the buyer or seller who wants to work with a specific agent, not browse a marketplace, and who is searching for someone they can trust in their specific market. We build real estate websites for US agents, teams, and developers with IDX property search integration, neighborhood pages for local SEO, and a direct path for seller leads through your own appraisal request tool.

This is for you if

This is for real estate professionals who need their own website to generate leads, not just reflect their portal profiles

You are a licensed agent or team lead operating in a specific metro, county, or neighborhood. You are on Zillow and Realtor.com. Most of your online leads come through those platforms. Your own website is either a generic brokerage page or a simple site that generates almost nothing on its own. You need a site that positions you as the local expert in your market, captures direct seller leads through an appraisal tool, and attracts buyer inquiries through neighborhood pages that rank in local search.

You are running a team of three to fifteen agents covering a defined geographic area. You need a team website that showcases every agent's listings and sales history, routes leads to the correct agent based on location or property type, integrates with your CRM (Follow Up Boss, KVCore, or Salesforce), and supports the IDX property search your buyers expect. Your current website either does not have IDX or has it poorly configured, with no neighborhood page strategy and no direct seller lead path.

You are marketing new construction homes, a townhome community, or a condominium development. You need a dedicated project website that presents the homes with the quality the market expects, captures buyer interest registrations and appointment requests, and feeds those leads directly into your CRM. A page on your corporate site is not sufficient for a development of this scale. You need a project-specific web presence with its own SEO footprint and its own lead tracking.

What's broken

Why most real estate agent websites in the US do not generate direct leads

No direct lead capture independent of Zillow and the portals

When every buyer and seller lead is routed through Zillow, Realtor.com, or Redfin, the portal owns the relationship. You pay per lead or lose the relationship to whichever agent the portal recommends next. Your own website should generate direct inquiries through IDX property search, neighborhood pages, and an appraisal tool, so that the leads who come to you directly are yours without a referral fee or a platform sitting in between.

No neighborhood pages for local search

A buyer searching "homes for sale in Midtown Atlanta" or a seller searching "home value in Naperville" is a high-intent local search query. If your website has no neighborhood pages for the areas you work, you will not appear for those searches. Zillow and Realtor.com will. Neighborhood pages built with local market data, recent sales statistics, and relevant content are the foundation of an organic search strategy that puts you in front of local buyers and sellers before they ever reach a portal.

Agent profiles do not communicate local expertise

A profile that shows a headshot, a license number, and a list of designations does not differentiate one agent from another. A profile that shows closed transactions in specific neighborhoods, average days on market, list-to-sale price ratios, and testimonials from recent clients communicates something a buyer or seller can evaluate. The gap between a generic profile and an evidence-based one is the gap between a page that exists and a page that converts.

No working appraisal or home valuation tool

Seller leads are the most valuable leads an agent or team can generate from their own website. But most agent websites either have no home valuation tool, have one that produces automated estimates with no follow-up path, or bury the seller inquiry form in the contact page. A seller considering listing their home who visits your website should encounter a clear, easy-to-use home valuation request that captures their information and routes it directly to your CRM. If that path is not prominent, you are losing seller leads to Zillow's Zestimate every day.

What we engineer

What is included in a real estate website from Ignited Nepal

Discovery and Brief

We document your business model, your geographic market, your buyer and seller audience, the lead types you need the site to generate, and your technology stack. We confirm your MLS membership and IDX provider, your CRM (Salesforce, Follow Up Boss, KVCore, or similar), and whether the project includes a new construction development section or a standalone project site.

Sitemap and Information Architecture

We map the full site structure: home, property search, neighborhoods, for sale, sold, new construction, agent profiles or team pages, home valuation tool, buyer and seller resources, and contact. The IA defines how buyers and sellers navigate the site, how neighborhood pages are structured and internally linked, and how the IDX search integrates into the overall site architecture.

Wireframes

We wireframe the key page types before any design begins: the home page, the IDX search results page, the individual listing page, the neighborhood page, the agent profile, and the home valuation tool. You review and approve the wireframes before design begins. CTA placement, home valuation tool prominence, neighborhood page structure, and lead routing logic are all confirmed at this stage.

Design

We design the site to reflect your local market position and your brand. For team sites, the design accommodates multiple agent profiles without the site feeling like a directory. For developer sites, the design gives full-screen visual treatment to the development and the homes. The design is built for conversion, not for visual complexity.

Build

We build on WordPress or a suitable platform. The build is optimised for speed across the US, tested on mobile and desktop, and integrated with your CRM. All contact forms, home valuation requests, and IDX inquiry forms route to the correct destination in your CRM. Lead attribution is configured so you can see which page generated each lead.

IDX Property Search Integration

We integrate your IDX MLS feed so buyers can search active listings directly on your website with filters for location, price range, property type, and bedrooms. Individual listing pages pull current MLS data and have their own inquiry forms routing to the listing agent. The IDX integration is configured to maximise the number of pages indexed by search engines while keeping duplicate content under control.

Neighborhood Pages, Agent Profiles, Home Valuation Tool, and Analytics

We build neighborhood pages for every market area you operate in, structured for local search with relevant market data and a clear lead capture form. We build agent profiles with closed transaction data, neighborhood market share, and testimonials. We build and configure a home valuation request tool that routes seller leads directly to your CRM. We configure Google Analytics and conversion tracking for every lead type, integrated with Follow Up Boss, KVCore, or Salesforce as required.

What changes

What is different after a property website built for direct lead generation

Before
After
Before When every buyer and seller lead is routed through Zillow, Realtor.com, or Redfin, the portal owns the relationship. You pay per lead or lose the relationship to whichever agent the portal recommends next. Your own website should generate direct inquiries through IDX property search, neighborhood pages, and an appraisal tool, so that the leads who come to you directly are yours without a referral fee or a platform sitting in between.
After When every listing page, neighborhood page, and agent profile has its own lead capture path, and your home valuation tool is prominently positioned, a growing share of your leads come directly to you. You are not paying a platform for every contact. You own the lead from the first inquiry.
Before A buyer searching "homes for sale in Midtown Atlanta" or a seller searching "home value in Naperville" is a high-intent local search query.
After Neighborhood pages optimised for local search mean you are visible when buyers and sellers search by area. A seller in Lincoln Park searching "home value in Lincoln Park" or a buyer searching "condos for sale in Capitol Hill" finds your neighborhood page in organic search, not just a portal. That traffic arrives with high intent and without a portal sitting between you and the lead.
Before A profile that shows a headshot, a license number, and a list of designations does not differentiate one agent from another. A profile that shows closed transactions in specific neighborhoods, average days on market, list-to-sale price ratios, and testimonials from recent clients communicates something a buyer or seller can evaluate. The gap between a generic profile and an evidence-based one is the gap between a page that exists and a page that converts.
After A prominently placed home valuation request tool captures seller inquiries from visitors who are considering listing. These are the leads that generate your listings and your GCI. When the path to request a valuation is easy to find and easy to complete, and leads route directly to your CRM, more sellers reach out before they call the Zillow Premier Agent in their zip code.
Before Seller leads are the most valuable leads an agent or team can generate from their own website.
After A profile that shows closed transactions, neighborhood expertise, and client testimonials gives a buyer or seller a reason to choose your agent before they have spoken to anyone. Trust built on the website reduces the time from first visit to booked consultation and improves the quality of leads who make first contact.
How it works

How we build your real estate website

  1. 01

    Discovery and Brief

    Days 1-3

We run a structured discovery session covering your geographic market, your buyer and seller audience, the lead types you need, your MLS and IDX provider, your CRM, and your technology stack. We review your current web presence and assess what is working and what is not. We confirm the full scope: number of neighborhood pages, whether the project includes a new construction section, agent profile count, and CRM integration requirements. We confirm the IDX provider and assess the integration options before scope is finalised.

  2. 02

    Sitemap, Wireframes, and Review

    Days 4-9

We deliver the sitemap and wireframe the key page types. You review both before design begins. This is the stage where home valuation tool placement, neighborhood page structure, IDX search integration design, and agent profile layout are decided. For team sites, we confirm how lead routing logic will work and how each agent's listings and closed transactions will be displayed. The wireframe review is where structural decisions are made. Changes here are fast. Changes after design is applied are not.

  3. 03

    Design and Build

    Days 10-22

We apply visual design and build the site. Neighborhood pages are built and structured for local search. Agent profiles are built with fields for closed transactions and testimonials. The home valuation tool is built and integrated with your CRM. IDX is integrated and configured. All forms and lead routing are tested and confirmed working in your CRM before we move to the handover stage.

  4. 04

    Testing, Analytics, and Handover

    Days 23-27

We test across devices and browsers. We configure Google Analytics and conversion tracking for all lead types: inquiry form submissions, home valuation requests, IDX inquiry forms, and click-to-call events. We confirm CRM integration is receiving and routing leads correctly in Follow Up Boss, KVCore, or Salesforce. We hand over documentation covering the site structure, the analytics setup, how to manage listings and neighborhood pages, and how to add new agents or team members going forward.

Common questions

Questions about real estate website design in the US

What IDX provider do you work with?

We work with the major IDX providers used by US agents and teams, including Showcase IDX, IDX Broker, iHomeFinder, and Diverse Solutions. The right provider depends on your MLS, your state, and the specific search functionality you need. We confirm the IDX provider during discovery and assess the integration approach before the build begins. The goal is a property search that displays current MLS listings, allows buyers to save searches and favorite properties, and routes inquiries directly to your CRM.

How many neighborhood pages do we need?

You need a neighborhood page for each area where you actively list properties and want to attract local search traffic. Priority pages are the neighborhoods where you have the strongest transaction history, the highest search volume for property searches, and the most active listing inventory. We assess the priority neighborhoods during discovery and build the pages in order of commercial priority and search volume. A minimum viable set of six to ten neighborhood pages is typically enough to start generating meaningful organic search traffic within three to six months of launch.

Can you integrate the website with Follow Up Boss, KVCore, or Salesforce?

All three CRM platforms support website integration through API connections, native embedding, or Zapier. The approach varies by platform. Follow Up Boss and KVCore have established WordPress integration paths. Salesforce integration is more complex and typically requires mapping the inquiry form fields to the correct Salesforce object structure. We document the integration requirements for your specific CRM during discovery and test all lead routing before the site goes live.

How does the home valuation tool work?

The home valuation tool is a form on your website that captures the property address, the owner's contact information, and any additional details you want to collect. The submission routes directly to your CRM as a new seller lead. It does not produce an automated estimate. It sets the expectation that you will review the property and provide a professional market assessment. This approach generates higher-quality seller leads than automated valuation tools because the prospective seller is opting into a conversation with you, not a number generated by an algorithm.

How long does a real estate website build take?

A full real estate website build for an agent or team, including IDX integration, neighborhood pages, agent profiles, a home valuation tool, and CRM integration, typically takes five to seven weeks. A new construction development website built separately for a specific project typically takes four to six weeks depending on the scope of the project presentation content and the speed of the review cycle at wireframe and design stages. We confirm the timeline during discovery once the scope is fully defined.
