PAID REPORTING SYSTEM

One report that connects ad spend to revenue — no more platform screenshots

Most paid media reports stop at the ad platform boundary — impressions, clicks, platform-reported ROAS. They do not connect to your Salesforce pipeline, your HubSpot deal stages, or the revenue your sales team is closing. Board-ready reporting requires a system that traces spend through to closed revenue, attributes pipeline value to the channels that generated it, and produces a report your CFO and board can read without a glossary of ad platform terms. Ignited Nepal builds that system.

Who This Is For

The Business Owner or CEO Who Wants Revenue Clarity — You are spending a meaningful amount on Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, or a combination of channels, and you receive reports that show platform metrics. What those reports do not show is which channels are producing closed revenue, what each acquisition costs across the full sales cycle, or whether the pipeline generated by paid channels is growing in proportion to spend. You want a report that answers the questions a business owner actually has about paid advertising.

The VP of Marketing or Marketing Director Presenting to a Board — You are responsible for paid acquisition performance and need to present results to a board or executive team that is not interested in impressions or CTR. Your audience wants to see pipeline generated, cost per acquisition, and revenue attribution by channel — in a format that can be read in three minutes without explanation. Your current process requires assembling data from multiple platforms before every board cycle, and the result is still not the report your board actually wants to see.

The Growth or Demand Generation Team Making Spend Decisions at Scale — Your team is managing significant spend across multiple channels and making allocation decisions that affect revenue targets. The data informing those decisions — platform-reported ROAS, cost per lead by campaign — does not connect to your Salesforce or HubSpot pipeline, which means you do not know the actual cost per closed customer by channel, and you are optimising toward metrics that may not correlate with the outcomes your business cares about.

What's broken

What's Broken

Platform Screenshots Are Not Business Metrics

Google Ads reports a ROAS figure. Meta reports a cost per result. LinkedIn reports cost per lead. Each of these numbers comes from the platform's own attribution model, optimised to present its own performance favorably. They do not agree with each other, they do not connect to your CRM, and they stop at the point of click or form fill — before your sales cycle begins. A board does not want platform screenshots; it wants to know what the spend produced.

Salesforce and HubSpot Pipeline Data Is Siloed From Ad Data

Your CRM holds your pipeline — opportunity values, deal stages, close rates, attributed revenue. Your ad platforms hold your spend, click, and conversion data. In most companies, those two datasets are never formally connected in a single reporting system. As a result, cost per closed customer is an estimate, revenue by channel is approximate, and the question "which channel should we invest more in?" is answered with judgment rather than data.

Lead Quality Is Not in the Report

A campaign producing 500 leads at $30 each looks like a strong performer in a cost-per-lead report. If 4% of those leads convert to closed revenue and another campaign produces 80 leads at $120 each with a 35% close rate, the second campaign is dramatically more efficient — but that only becomes visible when lead quality data from the CRM is connected to ad source data. Lead quality reporting is not a nice-to-have; it is required for accurate spend optimisation.

No Pipeline Attribution Across a Multi-Touch Sales Cycle

US B2B sales cycles often span weeks or months and involve multiple touchpoints across channels. Attribution models that give all credit to the last click — or that count only the first-touch source — misrepresent which channels are contributing to pipeline generation. A Paid Reporting System built for a multi-touch environment preserves source data at the lead level through the full pipeline, so revenue attribution reflects what actually happened rather than what a single-touch model defaults to.

What we engineer

What We Do

Report Specification

We define what metrics matter, how they connect to business outcomes, and how attribution will be handled across your specific sales cycle. This means agreeing on attribution model (first touch, last touch, linear, or position-based), pipeline stage definitions, conversion events, and how offline conversions are captured. For companies with board-reporting requirements, we align the report specification to the metrics your board or executive team expects — revenue by channel, cost per acquisition, pipeline coverage ratio, and similar.

Data Source Connections

We connect Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and GA4 to the reporting layer. For CRM, we connect Salesforce or HubSpot via native connectors or API, pulling opportunity stage, deal value, close date, and lead source through the full pipeline. For companies with high data volumes — large Salesforce instances, high-frequency campaign data — we build a BigQuery layer between the source data and the Looker Studio dashboard, so reporting is fast and does not hit connector row limits. Call tracking is connected where in place.

Dashboard Build

We build the reporting dashboard in Looker Studio, with BigQuery as the data warehouse for larger data environments. The board-ready view shows spend, pipeline generated, cost per acquisition, win rate by channel, and revenue attribution — formatted for an executive audience. The operational view shows campaign-level detail for the marketing and demand generation team. Both views pull from the same underlying data layer.

Automated Email Delivery

Reports are delivered automatically to the stakeholders who need them — weekly operational reports to the marketing and demand generation team, monthly board-ready summaries to the executive team and CFO. Delivery schedules and recipient lists are configured during setup and can be adjusted as team structures change.

Weekly and Monthly Report Templates

Two report templates are included: a weekly performance report covering spend, pipeline generated, cost per lead by channel, and lead quality metrics for the team; and a monthly board-ready summary covering total spend, revenue attributed, cost per closed customer, pipeline coverage, and channel contribution. The board-ready template is formatted to be included directly in a board deck without reformatting.

What changes

What Changes

Before
After
Before A pre-board scramble to pull data from multiple platforms, reconcile conflicting numbers, and format a presentation
After Board-Ready Reports Without Manual Assembly — The monthly board summary is produced automatically by the system. There is no pre-board scramble to pull data from multiple platforms, reconcile conflicting numbers, and format a presentation. The report is ready on schedule, in a format the board can read, with numbers that come from a single trusted source.
Before Cost per closed customer is an estimate and budget decisions are based on cost per click
After Cost Per Closed Customer by Channel, Not Cost Per Click — When Salesforce or HubSpot pipeline data is connected to ad spend data, cost per closed customer by channel becomes a measurable figure rather than an estimate. That number — how much it costs to generate a closed deal from Google Ads versus LinkedIn versus Meta — is the number your budget allocation decisions should be based on.
Before Reporting shows lead volume only, with no view of close rates, opportunity values, or win rates by channel
After Lead Quality Reporting Across Every Channel — With ad source data preserved through the full Salesforce or HubSpot pipeline, every report shows close rates, opportunity values, and win rates by channel — not just lead volume. Campaigns that look expensive on a cost-per-lead basis may prove to be your most efficient customer acquisition channel once pipeline quality is factored in. The reporting system makes that visible.
Before Attribution is reconstructed from memory each reporting cycle and cannot be defended to a CFO or board
After A Defensible Attribution Story for Finance and the Board — When the attribution methodology is defined, documented, and implemented in a system rather than reconstructed from memory each reporting cycle, your team can defend the numbers to a CFO or board with confidence. The report specification document, produced during setup, describes exactly how revenue is attributed and what the methodology means in practice.
Common questions

FAQ

Does this work with Salesforce Sales Cloud as our CRM?

Salesforce Sales Cloud is the most common CRM we connect in US builds. We map lead source, opportunity stage, deal value, and close date fields to ad spend data at the individual record level, so revenue attribution runs through the full sales cycle rather than stopping at lead generation. The connection uses the native Salesforce connector for Looker Studio or API access for BigQuery-based builds.

When does a BigQuery layer make sense versus a direct Looker Studio connection?

A BigQuery layer is worth building when your Salesforce instance has large data volumes that slow direct connector queries, when you need to join data from more than three or four sources cleanly, or when your demand generation team needs a queryable data warehouse for ad hoc analysis beyond what the dashboard covers. For most companies running Google Ads, Meta, and HubSpot at moderate data volumes, a direct Looker Studio build is sufficient and faster to deploy.

How is the board-ready report different from the weekly performance report?

The weekly performance report is built for the marketing and demand generation team — it covers campaign-level spend, leads, cost per lead, and pipeline movement in enough detail to make daily and weekly optimisation decisions. The monthly board-ready summary covers total spend, revenue attributed by channel, cost per closed customer, and pipeline coverage ratio — at a level of aggregation that a board can read in three minutes. Both pull from the same underlying data.

How do you handle multi-touch attribution across a long sales cycle?

Attribution methodology is defined in the report specification during discovery, and it is implemented in the data layer rather than applied as a post-processing step. Most US B2B companies use either first-touch or linear attribution for pipeline reporting — we implement whichever model is agreed, document the methodology clearly, and flag where the choice of model produces materially different results so you can make an informed decision before the system goes live.

Can HubSpot be used instead of Salesforce?

HubSpot is fully supported and is the more common CRM in mid-market US builds. The connection process is similar to Salesforce — we map deal stage, deal value, lead source, and close date to ad spend data. HubSpot's native Looker Studio connector handles most use cases cleanly; for higher-volume HubSpot instances or more complex pipeline configurations, we use the API.
