LANDING PAGES

Your paid traffic deserves a page built for it.

Most Australian businesses running Google Ads or Meta campaigns send clicks to a page that was designed for someone else — an organic visitor, a return customer, or a general browser. The visitor who clicked your ad about a specific offer lands somewhere that does not match what they were promised.

This is for you if

For Australian businesses running paid campaigns that cost more than they return

The e-commerce brand spending on Shopify traffic — Your Google Shopping and Meta campaigns are generating clicks but your add-to-cart and purchase conversion rates are below where they need to be. You are sending product ad traffic to a collection page or your homepage rather than to a dedicated page built around the specific offer or product being advertised.

The lead generation business running Google Ads in a competitive market — You operate in a high-CPC vertical — financial services, legal, trades, or healthcare — in Sydney or Melbourne. The cost per click is high and the page doing the work was built as part of a general website refresh, not as a conversion-engineered destination for paid traffic.

The national brand running city-specific campaigns — You are running location-specific campaigns targeting Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane separately but all campaigns land on the same national page. The visitor in Brisbane who clicked a Brisbane-specific ad lands on a page that does not acknowledge their location, their context, or their specific intent.

What's broken

What's Broken

Homepage as landing page

A homepage is designed to introduce a business to someone who has never encountered it before — it covers everything, serves every audience, and asks nothing specific. A paid traffic visitor is not exploring your brand; they already made a micro-commitment by clicking an ad about a specific thing. Sending them to a page with nine navigation options and four service areas undoes that commitment immediately.

Message mismatch

Your ad says "Same-day electrician Sydney — book now." The page they land on says "Trusted electrical services across New South Wales — residential, commercial, and industrial." That gap — between the ad's specific promise and the page's generic positioning — erodes the trust the ad built. Conversion rate drops not because the service is wrong but because the page is wrong for that visitor.

No conversion tracking

Australian businesses in particular run into a common configuration error: Google Ads conversion actions are set up but the thank-you page confirmation is firing on page load regardless of whether the form was submitted, or the event is duplicated across GA4 and Google Ads. The reported conversion numbers look reasonable but the underlying data is inaccurate, and campaign optimisation is built on that inaccuracy.

Lead gen and e-commerce pages designed the same way

A Shopify product page and a professional services inquiry form have fundamentally different conversion goals, visitor psychology, and page structure requirements. A purchase decision needs product detail, social proof, scarcity signals, and a frictionless checkout path. A lead generation form needs a clear offer, a reason to act now, minimal fields, and a trust indicator near the submit button. Building one as if it were the other is a structural problem that copy changes alone cannot fix.

What we engineer

What We Do

Strategy and message mapping

We start with the ad — what it says, who it targets, and what intent it signals. We then map the offer, the proof available, the objections a first-time visitor would carry into the page, and the single conversion action the page exists to drive. For lead generation builds, we distinguish this from e-commerce builds at the brief stage.

Wireframe and copy

We produce a wireframe for every section — above-fold structure with message-matched headline, proof block positioning, offer articulation, CTA copy and placement, and FAQ if objection volume warrants it. Copy is written in full before design begins. For e-commerce Shopify builds, wireframe accounts for product imagery hierarchy, review placement, and variant selection UX.

Design and build

E-commerce builds are done in Shopify; lead generation and service business builds are done in Unbounce or Webflow. Mobile-first across every build — Australian paid traffic is predominantly mobile, particularly from Meta. Page speed is treated as a build constraint, not an optimisation task for after launch.

Conversion tracking

We install and verify all conversion events: form submissions, call tracking numbers (where applicable), purchase events for e-commerce, and thank-you page confirmations. Events are verified firing correctly in GA4 and Google Ads — not just present in the tag manager but confirmed as firing under the correct conditions. You receive a tracking verification document before launch.

A/B testing framework

The first test is structured before the page goes live. For lead gen pages, we typically test headline message against a variant — same offer, different framing. For e-commerce pages, we test above-fold image or headline variant. We document the hypothesis, the required sample size for 95% confidence, and the review schedule.

What changes

What Changes

Before
After
Before Change 1 — Cost per lead in competitive Australian markets
After High-CPC markets like Sydney legal, Melbourne financial services, or Brisbane trades reward pages that convert well. A 40% improvement in conversion rate on a $50 CPC keyword has the same financial effect as cutting your CPC to $30 — without touching your bids. The page is the variable most businesses have not yet optimised.
Before Change 2 — E-commerce ROAS from paid campaigns
After A Shopify landing page built specifically for a paid campaign — with offer-matched copy, review placement near the purchase decision, and a clean path to checkout — consistently outperforms a standard product or collection page used as an ad destination. The gap between the two can represent tens of thousands in monthly revenue difference at meaningful ad spend levels.
Before Change 3 — Accurate performance data
After When conversion tracking is correctly installed and verified, campaign decisions are based on real data. You know which ad sets, keywords, and audiences are producing actual conversions — not inflated or duplicated events. This changes which campaigns you scale and which you cut.
Before Change 4 — Scalable campaign structure
After A library of dedicated landing pages — one per campaign, audience, or offer — gives your paid acquisition a scalable foundation. You can add a new campaign, point it at the right page, and have confidence the destination is built to convert. You are not rebuilding the infrastructure each time you add a new campaign.
Common questions

FAQ

What is the difference between a landing page and a website page?

A landing page serves one audience, one offer, and one conversion action — it has no navigation menu, no competing calls to action, and no content designed for anyone other than the visitor who clicked that specific ad. A website page is designed for multiple audiences and multiple purposes. Paid traffic sent to a website page is asked to navigate to a conversion it was not immediately shown.

Do you build in Shopify or do you only use landing page tools?

We build in Shopify for e-commerce campaigns and in Unbounce or Webflow for lead generation and service business campaigns. The platform choice is made at the brief stage based on the conversion goal. A purchase-focused page needs to live inside the Shopify checkout ecosystem; a form fill does not.

Our campaigns run across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane — do we need separate pages per city?

If your ads are city-specific — different headlines, different location extensions, different offer framing — then yes, city-specific pages outperform a single national page. The visitor who clicked a Melbourne-specific ad and lands on a page that acknowledges Melbourne converts at a higher rate than one who lands on a national page that does not.

Can you work with our existing Google Ads or Meta agency?

Yes. Landing page builds are separate from campaign management. We receive a brief on the campaigns, build the pages, and hand the destination URLs back to whoever manages the campaigns. We can also review existing campaign structure as part of the audit if the landing page work would benefit from it.

What does the message match audit cover?

The audit reviews your top-spending ad groups or ad sets, identifies the destination pages they point to, and evaluates the message match between ad copy and page copy, the presence of a single clear CTA, the conversion tracking configuration, and the page speed. You receive a written assessment with specific findings before any build is proposed.
