LEGAL WEBSITE DESIGN

A law firm website that converts enquiries, not one that wins design awards

Most law firm websites in Nepal open with the firm's founding year, its senior partners, and its list of accolades. The person visiting has one question: does this firm handle my type of case, and should I trust them enough to make contact. We build legal websites that answer that question immediately, move visitors to the right practice area, and make the enquiry action obvious.

This is for you if

This is for law firms whose website is not producing the enquiries the practice deserves

Your firm handles company registrations, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and commercial contracts. The corporate and immigration sectors in Nepal are growing, and competition for visible online positions is increasing. Your current website lists your services in legal terminology that your prospective clients do not search for. You need a website where corporate clients can confirm you handle their type of work and contact you directly, without reading three pages of firm history first.

You handle divorce, child custody, inheritance disputes, and property transactions. The people who search for your services are often in difficult personal circumstances. They need to understand quickly that your firm handles their specific situation, that you have handled similar cases, and that reaching you is straightforward. A website that buries the enquiry form at the bottom of a page built around attorney credentials does not serve these clients.

Immigration law is one of the most active areas of legal practice in Nepal. Clients seeking work permits, student visas, citizenship, and residency guidance need to find the right firm fast. They are often under time pressure. Your website needs to present your immigration practice clearly, by visa or application type, and give clients a direct path to contact without requiring them to navigate a general firm overview first.

What's broken

Why most law firm websites in Nepal do not produce enquiries at the rate they should

The website leads with firm history before the client's problem

The first thing most law firm websites say is when the firm was founded, how many partners it has, and what awards it has received. The client who just searched "immigration lawyer Kathmandu" is not looking for that information. They are looking for confirmation that this firm handles their situation. Leading with the firm instead of the client's problem costs you the first ten seconds of attention, and often the enquiry.

Practice areas are listed, not explained

A navigation menu that says "Corporate Law, Family Law, Property Law, Immigration, Criminal" tells the visitor nothing about whether you handle their specific situation. A practice area page that opens with the legal definition of that area tells them even less. Practice area pages need to be written around the client's problem: what happened, what they need, and why this firm is the right choice for that specific situation.

Attorney bios read like CVs

A list of educational qualifications, bar admissions, and committee memberships does not build the kind of trust a potential client needs before they decide to contact a firm. Attorney bios need to address what the attorney handles, what kinds of clients they serve, and why someone facing a specific legal situation should want this attorney in their corner. Credentials matter, but they should support the trust argument, not replace it.

There is no consultation CTA visible without scrolling

If a potential client has to scroll to the bottom of a page to find how to contact the firm, many of them will not. The consultation or enquiry call to action needs to be present above the fold on every page, persistent in the navigation, and repeated at the bottom of every practice area page. A firm that is hard to contact loses enquiries to firms that are not.

What we engineer

What is included in a legal website from Ignited Nepal

Discovery and Brief

We start by understanding your practice: which areas you focus on, which client types you serve, and where your current website is losing potential enquiries. We document the brief before any design begins. The brief covers audience, practice areas, geographic focus, and the primary conversion action, which for most firms is a consultation request or direct contact.

Sitemap and Information Architecture

We map the full site structure before any wireframing or design begins. For a law firm, this means defining the practice area page structure, the attorney bio structure, the case results or proof section, and the contact and consultation pathways. The sitemap determines whether clients can find what they need. A poorly structured sitemap is a conversion problem before design even starts.

Wireframes

We wireframe every key page type before applying visual design. Wireframes define the content hierarchy on each page: what appears first, where proof is positioned, where the CTA sits, and how practice area information is structured. Changes at wireframe are fast. Changes after design is applied are not.

Visual Design

Legal website design needs to communicate authority and trust without being cold or inaccessible. We apply your firm's identity or develop a visual direction that is appropriate for your practice area mix and client type. Every design decision is evaluated against one question: does this build enough trust for a potential client to make contact.

Build on WordPress or Webflow

We build on your preferred platform, with a structure that allows you to add practice area pages, update attorney bios, and publish articles or case updates without requiring ongoing development support. The build is mobile-optimised, fast-loading, and tested across the devices and browsers your clients use.

Practice Area Pages

Each practice area gets a dedicated page structured around the client's problem: what situation brings someone to this practice area, what your firm does in that area, what the process looks like, and what proof exists that your firm handles this well. Pages are written in plain language, not legal terminology, and include a clear consultation CTA.

Attorney Bio Pages, Contact and Consultation Booking, Analytics and Tracking

Attorney bio pages are structured to build trust: what this attorney handles, who they serve, and what relevant experience they have. Contact and consultation booking is integrated with your preferred scheduling or form tool. Google Analytics, conversion tracking, and enquiry attribution are configured so you can see which pages and which sources are producing contacts.

What changes

What is different after a legal website built for enquiry generation

Before
After
Before The first thing most law firm websites say is when the firm was founded, how many partners it has, and what awards it has received. The client who just searched "immigration lawyer Kathmandu" is not looking for that information. They are looking for confirmation that this firm handles their situation. Leading with the firm instead of the client's problem costs you the first ten seconds of attention, and often the enquiry.
After When the website leads with the client's problem, presents practice areas in plain language, and makes the enquiry action obvious on every page, more visitors convert to contacts. The clients who were already qualified to work with your firm stop leaving without making contact.
Before A navigation menu that says "Corporate Law, Family Law, Property Law, Immigration, Criminal" tells the visitor nothing about whether you handle their specific situation. A practice area page that opens with the legal definition of that area tells them even less. Practice area pages need to be written around the client's problem: what happened, what they need, and why this firm is the right choice for that specific situation.
After When each practice area page is built around a specific client situation, the enquiries that come through are already pre-sorted by what the client needs. Your team spends less time on initial qualification calls and more time on substantive conversations with clients whose needs match your practice.
Before A list of educational qualifications, bar admissions, and committee memberships does not build the kind of trust a potential client needs before they decide to contact a firm. Attorney bios need to address what the attorney handles, what kinds of clients they serve, and why someone facing a specific legal situation should want this attorney in their corner. Credentials matter, but they should support the trust argument, not replace it.
After Attorney bios that address what the attorney handles, case results that demonstrate outcomes, and practice area pages that show depth of experience all do trust-building work before the client ever picks up the phone. By the time a potential client submits an enquiry, they have already developed a degree of confidence in the firm.
Before If a potential client has to scroll to the bottom of a page to find how to contact the firm, many of them will not. The consultation or enquiry call to action needs to be present above the fold on every page, persistent in the navigation, and repeated at the bottom of every practice area page. A firm that is hard to contact loses enquiries to firms that are not.
After A legal website built for conversion is also a business development asset. When you present at events, attend referral networks, or are mentioned in press, the website needs to confirm what visitors already expect: that this is a credible, experienced firm handling their type of work. A website that does that job reduces the friction between a referral and a retained client.
How it works

How we build your legal website

  1. 01

    Discovery and Brief

    Days 1-3

We start with a discovery session covering your practice areas, your client types, your current website's performance, and the primary enquiry or consultation action you want to drive. We document the brief, including which practice areas need dedicated pages, how many attorney bios are required, and what proof (case results, testimonials, credentials) is available to use.

  2. 02

    Sitemap, Wireframes, and Copy Structure

    Days 4-8

We build the sitemap and wireframe each key page type: homepage, practice area template, attorney bio template, contact and consultation page. We also develop the copy structure for practice area pages, so you can see how each page will be written before design begins. This stage requires your input on practice area details and attorney information.

  3. 03

    Design and Build

    Days 9-18

We apply visual design and build the site. Practice area pages and attorney bio pages are built to the approved templates. Contact forms and consultation booking integrations are configured and tested. The site is tested on mobile and desktop before moving to tracking setup.

  4. 04

    Analytics, Tracking, and Handover

    Days 19-22

We configure Google Analytics, set up enquiry conversion tracking, and confirm all contact forms and consultation booking paths are working correctly. We hand over a brief document covering the site structure, how to update practice area pages and attorney bios, and how to read your enquiry data in Analytics.

Common questions

Questions about legal website design in Nepal

How long does it take to build a law firm website?

A full law firm website, including sitemap, wireframes, design, build, practice area pages, and attorney bios, takes between three and five weeks from brief to launch, depending on how many practice areas and attorneys need to be covered. The main variable is how quickly the firm can provide practice area detail, attorney information, and proof content such as case results or client testimonials.

Do you write the practice area and attorney bio copy?

We develop the copy structure and framework for all pages. For practice area pages, we write the content based on a brief you complete covering the types of cases you handle and the client situations you address. For attorney bios, we work from a structured template and information you provide. You review and approve all copy before the site goes live.

Can the website comply with any legal advertising guidelines that apply in Nepal?

Nepal's legal advertising environment is governed by Bar Association rules and professional conduct requirements. We review your content against those requirements during the build. We flag any claims that may need adjustment and work with you to ensure the site does not make claims that are misleading or outside the boundaries of professional legal advertising. You retain responsibility for final compliance review, and we recommend you review the published content with your Bar Association standards in mind before launch.

What platform do you build on and can we update it ourselves?

We build on WordPress or Webflow. Both platforms allow your team to update practice area pages, add or edit attorney bios, and publish new content without requiring developer involvement. We provide a handover session covering how to make standard updates. If you require ongoing content support, we can arrange that separately.

What if we do not have case results or testimonials to include?

Case results and testimonials are among the most effective trust signals on a legal website, but they are not always available at launch. We build the site with placeholder sections for proof content that can be populated as you obtain case results and client feedback. In the meantime, we use other trust signals: years of practice, notable matters (without confidential details), professional credentials, and attorney experience descriptions that establish credibility without requiring specific case outcome data.
