Discovery
We begin with a structured discovery session covering your property type, room inventory, target guest markets, current booking source mix, OTA and platform commission spend, seasonal demand patterns, F&B and wellness offering, and current website performance. We document the language requirements for your target inbound markets and the specific booking journey considerations for each guest segment.
Sitemap and Information Architecture
We build a sitemap designed around the way international and domestic guests research and book: room and accommodation discovery, rate comparison, F&B and dining, onsen and wellness, local area and access information, and the booking entry points that appear throughout the guest journey. The architecture accounts for multi-language navigation at every level.
Wireframes
We wireframe every key page type before design begins. Wireframes for Japanese hospitality properties reflect the higher content density expected by Japanese audiences, while ensuring that international visitors can navigate without confusion. Booking CTAs, language switching, currency display, and trust signal placement are all defined at the wireframe stage. You review and approve wireframes before design begins.
Design
We design a website that communicates the specific character of your property. For a ryokan, the design reflects traditional Japanese aesthetics adapted for digital experience. For a boutique hotel, it reflects the property's design language. For a resort, it reflects the destination experience. The design is built to work across Japanese and Latin character sets without visual hierarchy problems.
Build
We build in a CMS that your team can manage for routine content updates in all active languages. Performance and mobile optimisation are built to the standard required for both Japanese domestic users and international visitors arriving from various markets. Structured data for accommodation, restaurant, and local attraction pages supports organic search visibility in Japanese and English.
Booking Engine Integration
We integrate your booking engine, whether Temairazu, SiteMinder, or Rakuten Travel API, within your website design. The booking flow stays on-brand from availability search to confirmation. International payment methods are supported, multi-currency rate display is configured, and the confirmation process produces documentation appropriate for international guests.
Room and Accommodation Pages
We write and build dedicated pages for every room and accommodation category in all active languages. Each page covers room type and layout, bedding configuration, bathroom facilities, onsen access where applicable, floor and aspect, inclusions, what the rate covers in terms of dining, and a direct booking CTA. For ryokan, we include a detailed explanation of what the traditional inn experience involves for guests unfamiliar with it.
Rate Comparison Module
We build a rate comparison module that shows guests the direct rate alongside OTA platform rates in real time, and communicates the specific advantage of booking direct: flexibility on cancellation, direct contact with the property, rate inclusions, or loyalty recognition. The module is available in all active languages.
F&B Pages
We design and build kaiseki, teppanyaki, restaurant, bar, and private dining pages that function as revenue-generating assets. Menus are presented with translations for international guests. Photography of food preparation, dining rooms, and plating is given appropriate visual weight. Reservation and private dining enquiry CTAs are built into every page.
Event and Venue Hire Pages
For properties with event facilities, we build pages that give planners the information they need to evaluate your venue: capacity, configuration options, catering arrangements, AV facilities, and enquiry pathways in Japanese and English.
Review Integration
We integrate review data from Google, TripAdvisor, and Jalan or Rakuten Travel as appropriate in a format that adds credibility to your direct booking pages. Review content is presented in the language of the guest segment the page is targeting.
Analytics and Booking Source Tracking
We configure analytics to track the direct booking journey by language version, traffic source, and device. Booking source attribution is structured to show the revenue contribution of direct versus OTA channels across domestic and international guest segments.
